Welcome to Homh! This Community Code of Conduct outlines the principles, standards, and expectations that govern our Homh community. Homh connects Users seeking professional services with qualified Professionals in the trades industry. We're committed to creating a trustworthy, transparent, and respectful environment where both parties can engage in fair and productive business relationships.

This Code of Conduct applies to all participants in Homh, including Users, Professionals, and Homh employees. By participating in Homh, you agree to uphold these standards and contribute to a positive community experience.

We believe trust is the foundation of Homh. All interactions, transactions, and communications should be conducted with honesty, transparency, and integrity.

Quality & Professionalism
We strive for excellence in all services provided through Homh. Professionals commit to delivering high-quality work, and Users commit to fair engagement with service providers.

Respect & Inclusion
We foster a community that respects all participants regardless of background, identity, or experience level. Discrimination and harassment have no place in Homh.

Accountability
We hold all participants accountable for their actions, ensuring that Homh remains a reliable platform for connecting service needs with qualified providers.

For All Marketplace Participants
Do:
  1. Communicate Respectfully: Treat all participants with courtesy and professionalism in all interactions, whether through the Homh, in person, or via other communication channels.
  2. Provide Accurate Information: Share truthful, accurate, and complete information about yourself, your services, your needs, and your experiences.
  3. Respect Privacy: Maintain the confidentiality of personal information shared through Homh and only use such information for its intended purpose.
  4. Report Concerns: Alert us to any behavior that violates this Code of Conduct or raises safety, ethical, or legal concerns.
  5. Follow Homh Guidelines: Adhere to all technical and procedural guidelines for using Homh.
Don't:
  1. Engage in Harassment or Discrimination: We prohibit any form of harassment, discrimination, or abusive behavior based on race, gender, religion, age, disability, sexual orientation, or any other protected characteristic.
  2. Share Inappropriate Content: Do not post, share, or transmit offensive, explicit, illegal, or harmful content through Homh.
  3. Misuse Homh: Do not attempt to manipulate, abuse, or exploit the Homh platform, including its ratings, reviews, or matching algorithms.
  4. Circumvent Marketplace Processes: Do not attempt to bypass our systems to avoid fees, policies, or other Homh requirements.
  5. Engage in Deceptive Practices: Do not misrepresent qualifications, services, needs, or any other information relevant to Homh transactions.
For Professionals
Do:
  1. Maintain Qualifications: Keep all licenses, certifications, insurance, and other professional credentials current and valid as required for your services.
  2. Provide Accurate Service Information: Clearly communicate your services, pricing structure, availability, and any limitations or conditions.
  3. Deliver Quality Service: Perform all work according to industry standards, applicable codes, and best practices for your trade.
  4. Respond Promptly: Acknowledge and respond to service requests, questions, and communications in a timely manner.
  5. Honor Commitments: Fulfill all service agreements, appointments, and obligations as scheduled and agreed upon.
  6. Provide Transparent Pricing: Clearly communicate costs, including diagnostic fees, repair estimates, and any potential additional charges.
  7. Accept Accountability: Take responsibility for the quality of your work and address any issues or concerns promptly and professionally.
Don't:
  1. Misrepresent Qualifications: Do not falsify or exaggerate your credentials, experience, or capabilities.
  2. Engage in Bait-and-Switch Tactics: Do not advertise services at one price with the intention of charging more or providing different services.
  3. Perform Unnecessary Work: Do not recommend or perform services that aren't needed or beneficial to the User.
  4. Solicit Reviews: Do not ask Users for reviews or offer incentives in exchange for positive feedback.
  5. Discriminate Among Users: Do not refuse service or provide different levels of service based on discriminatory factors.
For Users
Do:
  1. Provide Accurate Information: Clearly communicate your service needs, property details, and any relevant information Professionals need to provide appropriate service.
  2. Respect Professional Time: Be available for scheduled appointments and communicate promptly if changes are needed.
  3. Provide Safe Access: Ensure Professionals have safe and appropriate access to work areas.
  4. Communicate Expectations: Clearly express your expectations regarding service, timing, and outcomes.
  5. Provide Honest Feedback: Share fair and truthful reviews based on your actual experience with the Professional.
Don't:
  1. Make Unreasonable Demands: Do not request services outside the scope of a Professional's expertise or agreed-upon work.
  2. Withhold Payment: Do not refuse to pay for services properly rendered as agreed.
  3. Provide False Information: Do not misrepresent your service needs, property conditions, or other relevant details.
  4. Engage in Harassment: Do not subject Professionals to hostile, threatening, or inappropriate behavior.
  5. Submit Unfair Reviews: Do not post reviews that are retaliatory, false, or unrelated to the actual service experience.
Ratings and Reviews
Guidelines for Providing Reviews of Professionals:
  1. Base on First-Hand Experience: Reviews must be based on your direct experience with the service or Professional.
  2. Focus on Relevant Information: Reviews should address the quality of service, professionalism, communication, and other relevant aspects of the service experience.
  3. Be Truthful and Fair: Provide honest feedback that accurately reflects your experience.
  4. Avoid Personal Attacks: Focus on the service experience rather than making personal comments about the Professional.
  5. Respect Privacy: Do not include personal information about the Professional or others in your review.
Guidelines for Responding to Reviews:
  1. Respond Professionally: Address feedback in a courteous and constructive manner.
  2. Focus on Resolution: If responding to negative feedback, focus on how issues can be or have been resolved.
  3. Avoid Defensive Reactions: Maintain professionalism even when responding to criticism.
  4. Respect Privacy: Do not include personal information about the User in your response.
Diagnostic and Repair Transparency
  1. Clear Communication: Professionals must clearly communicate diagnostic findings, recommended repairs, and associated costs.
  2. Itemized Estimates: Provide detailed, itemized estimates for all proposed work.
  3. Approval Before Work: Obtain User approval before proceeding with repairs beyond the initial diagnostic.
  4. Documentation: Provide documentation of completed work, including parts replaced and services performed.
  5. Warranty Information: Clearly communicate any warranties on parts or labor.
Dispute Resolution
  1. Direct Communication: Attempt to resolve disputes directly through respectful communication.
  2. Evidence-Based Resolution: Provide factual information and documentation to support your position in disputes.
  3. Good Faith Participation: Engage in any dispute resolution process with honesty and a willingness to reach a fair resolution.
Enforcement and Consequences
We take violations of this Code of Conduct seriously. Depending on the nature and severity of the violation, consequences may include:
  1. Warnings: Formal notification of the violation with guidance on corrective action.
  2. Temporary Restrictions: Limitation of Homh privileges or visibility for a defined period.
  3. Permanent Removal: Termination of Homh access for serious or repeated violations.
  4. Financial Penalties: Where applicable and in accordance with our Homh Terms of Use.
  5. Legal Action: In cases involving illegal activity or serious harm.
Reporting Violations
If you witness or experience behavior that violates this Code of Conduct:

  4. For urgent safety concerns, contact appropriate emergency services first, then notify us
